About Rhode Island's AI Hub
Overview
AI is here to stay, and it brings both real opportunities and real risks for Rhode Island. The AI Hub isn't "pro-AI" or "anti-AI" — our goal is to help make sure every Rhode Islander, from K-12 students to working professionals, business owners, and public servants, has the support they need to understand what AI means for them, protect against its risks, and use it responsibly for the good of our state.
The AI Hub is part of the Institute for Cybersecurity & Emerging Technologies at Rhode Island College. Building on the recommendations of the Governor's AI Task Force, we're a statewide resource working to expand equitable access to AI training and resources.
We don't aim to compete with the colleges, employers, and organizations already doing this work. Our job is to connect them, fill the gaps none of them can fill alone, and make sure Rhode Island's diverse communities have a real say in how AI affects our state.
