Overview

We're accelerating statewide work across six areas, starting with the students who'll inherit an AI-shaped Rhode Island: K-12 education, postsecondary education and workforce training, business, nonprofit organizations, government, and AI's broader impact on society. Some of this work is already underway across Rhode Island's schools, colleges, businesses, and organizations — our role is to support and accelerate it, not take it over. In 2026, we're piloting programs in each area that directly benefit Rhode Islanders and help us learn together. Starting in 2027, we aim to work with a wide range of partners to help grow this work into full statewide initiatives, guided by ongoing input from the people and organizations closest to it.
