Free Google AI training for Rhode Islanders

Rhode Island's AI Hub and Google are offering Rhode Islanders no-cost access to Google's AI and career certificate programs. You learn online at your own pace and finish with a credential employers recognize.

Licenses are limited and are awarded by the Hub. Apply below, and we will let you know whether you have a seat.

How it works

1. Apply. Fill out a short form telling us who you are and which program you want.
2. Get your license. If you qualify, we send you an access code.
3. Learn at your own pace. Everything is online, and you set the schedule.
4. Earn your certificate. Finish the program and receive your Google credential.
5. Tell us how it went. With your permission, we may feature your story to encourage others.

Programs available

• Google AI Essentials. 

  • A beginner-friendly introduction to AI. Learn what AI can and can't do, how to write effective prompts, and how to use AI tools responsibly in everyday work.

• Google AI Professional Certificate. 

  • A deeper, hands-on program for applying AI across real tasks: research, writing, content creation, data analysis, and building simple apps.

• Google Prompting Essentials

  • Want to use generative AI tools but not sure where to start? Google Prompting Essentials teaches you how to give clear and specific instructions to generative AI - known as prompting.

• Accelerate Your Job Search with AI. 

  • Practical ways to use AI tools to find openings, tailor your resume, and prepare for interviews.

• Google Agile Essentials. 

  • The fundamentals of Agile and Scrum, the project management approaches used on teams across industries.

• Google Career Certificates and More! 

  • Job-ready training in Data Analytics, IT Support, Project Management, and more built with input from major employers.
